A corporate website is more than just a company's online presence. It's the space where first impressions are formed, the first interaction with a potential client takes place, and your expertise is tested. But often, a website doesn't work as it should because of basic errors.
Old design. If your website looks like it’s from 2010, it will make users question your credibility and professionalism, even if your services are of high quality.
Lack of clear structure. When a user can't quickly figure out where to click or where to find information, they leave. Menus should be logical, pages should be clear, and the structure should be predictable.
Without actions and calls. If a site is just a set of pages, without logic and the next step, it does not guide the user. Each block should push: learn more, apply, contact.
No mobile optimization. This is a standard, not a bonus. If your site isn't mobile-friendly, you're losing your audience before they even read anything.
The content is not trustworthy. Texts are also part of the design. If they are overloaded with terms, general phrases, or simply unreadable, the user will not finish reading. The same goes for visuals: poor-quality photos illustrate a poor-quality approach.
When a website is ineffective, it's not always about the complicated stuff. More often, it's about the obvious things that everyone ignores. These are the things you should start updating with.
